John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA)

  • Distance to Newport Beach: ~6–8 miles
  • Drive Time: 10–20 minutes
  • Best For: Ultimate convenience. Located in the neighboring city of Santa Ana, this is the most localized hub, with shorter TSA lines and quick access to coastal resorts.

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

  • Distance to Newport Beach: ~26 miles
  • Drive Time: 30–40 minutes
  • Best For: A stress-free, smaller-airport experience with slightly more route options than SNA.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

  • Distance to Newport Beach: ~44–50 miles
  • Drive Time: 50–60+ minutes (depending on traffic)
  • Best For: International flights and the widest variety of direct/budget routes. It is the largest airport in the area.
