Boris M. Ackerman, M.D., is a recognized Deep Plane Facelift specialist.
He developed advanced techniques in facial surgery using endoscopy and laser technology. Dr. Ackerman is a published author on the Deep Plane Facelift technique and is the inventor of the Ackerman Facelift Retractor.
Dr. Ackerman has been an invited speaker at national and international medical meetings, presenting on his advanced Deep Plane Facelift technique, entitled “Systematic Approach to Deep Plane Facelift.” He has been featured on TV as well as in numerous publications.
Dr. Ackerman’s practice includes an on-site, state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center. His facility is QUAD-A accredited, which means it has been recognized for meeting rigorous standards of patient care and safety.
Education and Training
Dr. Ackerman received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978 and his Doctorate in Medicine from Dartmouth Medical School in 1981. Dr. Ackerman went on to do his postgraduate training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Ohio State University.
Board Certification and Memberships
Dr. Ackerman is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Certification by this prestigious board requires extensive training and a vigorous examination process. Board certification also requires continuing education and periodic re-certification.
Dr. Ackerman is an Active Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in addition to other societies.
