Eyelid surgery is a procedure to correct drooping of the upper eyelids and puffy bags and wrinkles around the lower eyelids. With age, the muscles around the eyes weaken and the skin becomes increasingly loose and puffy, which can cause patients to look older and more tired than they actually feel. Eyelid surgery helps restore a youthful appearance by removing or redraping excess fat, muscle and skin from the upper and lower eyelids. Either alone or combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures, eyelid surgery can drastically reduce the signs of aging.

		This patient had upper and lower lid blepharoplasty. After surgery, she has a more defined upper lid crease and the fullness around the lower lid has diminished. This created a significantly refreshed appearance.

		This patient underwent upper and lower lid blepharoplasty, and had a small mole removed from her lower lid. She achieved a more harmonious, open appearance of her eyes. It is important to avoid creating a hollow look around the eyes, as this can result in a more aged appearance.

		This relatively young patient complained of unevenness and poor definition of her upper lids. She underwent upper lid blepharoplasty, which created a soft, even appearance with pleasing results.

		This patient has significant signs of aging around her eyes. She underwent upper and lower lid blepharoplasty that resulted in a more youthful and defined appearance. More improvements could be achieved through brow surgery, which she declined at this time.

		This male patient requested correction of the prominent fat bulges in his lower lids. He underwent lower lid surgery without any skin incisions, and achieved pleasing results through the correction of the fat bulges.

		This male patient was also bothered by the fat bulges in his lower lids. He underwent lower lid blepharoplasty, which included the slight tightening of the lower lids and the removal of some skin.
